Track venue outreach
Finding a venue is half the job - getting a yes is the other half. Every saved venue carries an outreach status so the whole committee can see where things stand at a glance.
The pipeline
- Untried - saved, nobody's asked yet
- Contacted - you've reached out
- Awaiting Reply - ball's in their court
- Approved - they'll host you
- Declined - they won't (keep it saved - it stops someone asking again next season)
- Partner - the golden status: a standing relationship, your go-to spot
Logging contact
Open a venue and hit Log Outreach - record how you contacted them (phone, email, in person, social), what was said, and set the new status. The venue's History shows every touch, so when the venue chap says "we spoke to someone from your lot last year", you know who and what about.
Recent outreach across all venues also shows on the Venues hub and your dashboard, so momentum is visible.
Why bother
Clubs lose venue knowledge when the one organiser who "knows the guy" steps back. The pipeline keeps it in the club: filter the library by status, see who's approved before planning the season, and never double-ask a venue that already declined.
