Add and arrange widgets

Updated 28 July 2026

Pages are built from widgets - self-contained sections like a hero, a gallery or an events list, stacked top to bottom.

Adding

Click Add Widget in the builder sidebar. The picker shows every widget with a layout sketch and description, grouped by category and searchable. Click one and it lands on the page ready to edit. Widgets that need something first (a Facebook connection, club rules in settings) show a lock explaining what to set up.

Arranging

  • Reorder by dragging - the grip on the canvas, or rows in the sidebar list.
  • Copy and paste via right-click - repeat a section you've already styled, even onto a different page.
  • Right-click a widget on the canvas for everything else - edit, copy, paste, hide, delete.

Hiding vs deleting

The eye icon hides a widget: gone from the live site, kept in your list with all its settings, ready to re-show - handy for seasonal sections. Hide from the sidebar list, the widget's settings header, or by right-clicking it on the canvas; show it again from the sidebar list, since a hidden widget isn't on the canvas to right-click.

Delete removes it and its settings for good. Hiding applies when you save; deleting asks you to confirm and happens straight away.

Section stacking

Each widget's Layout tab has a Stacking option for how it meets the section above: a normal gap, flush (touching), or overlap (pulled up over the previous section - great for cards that break out of a hero). A couple of widgets support only gap and flush.

Pick Overlap and two more options appear: Overlap Depth (how far it pulls up) and Card Surface:

  • Flat - a solid card in your section background colour.
  • Frosted - blurred glass, so the hero or gallery underneath shows through.

Frosting only really works over an image. Over a flat colour it just reads as a card, so use Flat there.
