Create a menu
A menu is a named, ordered list of links - and it's reusable: build it once, and point your header, your footer, or both at it. Every new club starts with a Header Menu and a Footer Menu already wired up.
Building one
- Open Menus and create a menu (the name is just for you - visitors never see it).
- Add items. Each item is a label plus a link - either one of your pages (picked from a list) or any web address, with an optional icon and an "open in new tab" toggle.
- Drag items to reorder them. That order is exactly how they'll appear in your nav.
Linking to a page by picking it (rather than typing its address) is worth it: if you ever rename the page's slug, the menu link keeps working automatically.
Automatically add new pages
Each menu has an Automatically Add New Pages toggle. When it's on, every page you create gets appended to the menu as a link - your nav keeps itself up to date. Your starter Header and Footer menus have this on. The link appears in the menu editor straight away but only shows publicly once the page is published.
Draft and missing badges
- A link to a draft page shows a Draft badge - it's hidden from your public nav until the page is published.
- A link whose page has been deleted shows a Missing Page badge and is hidden publicly; remove it when you spot it.
One more step
A menu does nothing on its own - your header or footer has to point at it. See Link a menu to your header.
