Create and publish pages

Your club site is made of pages. Every club starts with a home page and an Events page; add as many more as your plan allows - About, Gallery, Sponsors, whatever your club needs.

Creating a page

1. Open Pages. To start from a ready-made page, pick one from Page Templates; for an empty page, click Create Page.
2. Check the preview: it shows the whole page in your club's colours and fonts.
3. Give it a title. Most templates suggest one, and the web address (slug) fills in automatically; adjust either before saving if you like.
4. Save. The page is created with the template's sections, ready for you to make it your own in the page builder.

New pages start as drafts - build in private, publish when ready.

Page templates

Each template card shows a sketch of the page, its name and what it suits (Home, About, Events and so on). Hover over a card to see the rest of the page. Pick the closest one, then swap the sample text and numbers for your own and add photos in the page builder.

• Your club's name is filled in for you wherever the sample text mentions it, and it updates if you rename the club.
• Countdowns count down to your next published event, so there's no date to keep up to date.
• Rules & Etiquette needs your club rules first. Add them under Settings → Club Rules and the template unlocks.
• The Contact template's Email Us and Call Us buttons only show once your email address and phone number are filled in under Settings → Contact Info.
• A template is only used when the page is created. Changing a page later happens in the page builder.

Publishing

On the page's detail screen, switch the visibility dropdown between Draft, Published and Private. Published pages appear on your club site immediately. See Page visibility and passwords for what each state means.

Good to know

• The home page is special - always published, can't be deleted; it's what visitors see at your site's root address.
• Changing a slug changes the page's address - old links stop working, so rename slugs sparingly once a page is shared. The title is safe to change any time.
• Menus can add pages automatically - a menu with "Automatically Add New Pages" on picks up each new page as a link, shown publicly once the page is live. See Create a menu.
• The counter next to Create Page shows how many pages your plan includes.
