What Facebook sync does

Updated 9 July 2026Club plan and up

With your Facebook page connected, a sync runs once a day, automatically - you don't schedule or trigger anything.

What it pulls in

  • Page details - name, picture, follower and like counts (these feed the Stats widget and shortcodes like {{facebook_followers}})
  • Engagement figures - for your dashboard's analytics
  • Your page's events
  • Recent posts - which the Facebook Feed widget shows on your site

What it doesn't do

  • It's one-way, inbound. Sync pulls from Facebook into your site - it never posts, edits or deletes anything on your Facebook page. The only thing that writes to Facebook is you, deliberately, via Export an event to Facebook.
  • It's not instant. Posted something and want it on your site now? Use Sync Now on Connections (or the small refresh button beside your events list) rather than waiting for the daily run.
  • It doesn't touch your own content. Pages, events and routes you built on your site are yours; sync never modifies them.

Controls

The Connections page shows when the last sync ran, has the Sync Now button, and a toggle to switch the daily automatic sync off entirely if you'd rather refresh manually.
