Export an event to Facebook

If your club's Facebook page is connected, you can push an event straight to it - no retyping the details into Facebook.

What gets sent

• The event's name, date and time
• The write-up, converted to plain text (Facebook doesn't take formatting)
• A link back to the event's page on your club site - so Facebook does the reach, your site does the detail
• Optionally your club rules, if the event's "include club rules" setting is on

How

1. Make sure the event's details are saved and its date is set.
2. Click the Export button in the event planner.
3. The event appears on your Facebook page for your followers.

Good to know

• Export is available on every plan - it's the daily automatic sync (pulling your Facebook activity into your site) that's plan-gated, not this.
• Edits made after exporting aren't pushed automatically - update the Facebook copy by hand or re-export.
• The link between the two is remembered, so your site knows which Facebook event corresponds to which club event.
