Publish and share a route

Updated 9 July 2026Club plan and up

Every route has a shareable page at your-club.motorev.club/routes/your-route - the interactive map, distance and drive time, points of interest, turn-by-turn directions and a printable roadbook, all in your club's theme.

The three statuses

Set from the Visibility dropdown on the route's Overview (it saves instantly):

  • Draft - the default. Admin-only; the share link returns "not found".
  • Public - live for anyone with the link, listed where your site shows routes, indexed by search engines.
  • Private - the page asks for a password first. One is generated when you switch (change it in the details panel); share it with the run's attendees. Unlocked browsers stay unlocked.

You'll be asked to confirm before demoting a public route, since shared links would stop working for people.

Sharing

The Share card on the Overview holds the link and a copy button - it warns you if the route isn't public yet or has unsaved changes. The route's web address (slug) is editable in the details panel; change it sparingly once shared.

SEO & sharing preview

The Overview's SEO & Sharing card sets the route page's search title, description and social share image - with a live preview of how the link will look when dropped into WhatsApp or Facebook. Left empty, sensible defaults come from the route's own title and description.
