Your privacy and your data

Updated 30 July 2026

Our privacy policy is the full picture - what we collect, why, who else sees it and how long we keep it. This article covers the parts you're most likely to want to act on.

Confirming you're 18 or over

MotoRev Club accounts are for adults. You tick I confirm I am 18 or over when you register, and again if you're joining someone else's club from an invite. It's required either way - registration can't finish without it.

Car clubs on the platform can absolutely have members under 18. That's the club's own records, and the club is responsible for them. It's the account holder who needs to be 18.

Changing your cookie choice

Analytics are opt-in. If you declined at the banner, nothing analytics-related ever loads.

To change your mind either way, open Cookie settings:

  • In the admin app - the cookie icon at the bottom of the sidebar
  • On motorev.club and on club sites - the Cookie settings link in the footer

Flip the Microsoft Clarity Analytics toggle. Switching it off stops analytics immediately and it won't start again on your next visit.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your data

Your name, email address and phone number are on Your Account in the top-right menu, and you can edit them there any time.

To delete everything, see Delete your account - you get 30 days to change your mind.

For anything else - a copy of everything we hold, a correction we can't make from the app, or an objection to how we're using it - email hello@motorev.club. We'll reply within a month.

Making a complaint

There's a form at motorev.club/complaint that doesn't need an account. Pick the category that fits:

  • Data protection or privacy - how we or a club has handled personal data
  • Conduct or abuse in a club - behaviour of a club, its organisers or its members
  • Content on a club site - something published that shouldn't be
  • Billing or payments - a charge, refund or subscription problem
  • Something else - anything the rest don't cover

For the two club ones we need to know which club, or there's nothing for us to look into. You can email or write to us instead if you'd rather - we accept complaints however they arrive.

You'll get a reference number straight away and an acknowledgement by email. We acknowledge every complaint within 30 days, investigate it, and tell you the outcome and our reasoning.

If your complaint is about personal data and you're not happy with how we handle it, you can take it to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. The ICO will expect you to have raised it with us first.

Data about your club's members

If a club holds your details because you're one of its members, that's the club's data, not ours - we only store it for them. Ask the club directly. If you ask us, we'll pass it on to them and tell them you got in touch.
