Shape your convoy

Updated 12 July 2026Club plan and up

The convoy builder is a full-screen satellite map with one floating panel. The panel's Waypoints tab shapes the drive; the Points tab handles points of interest.

Adding waypoints

With the Waypoints tab active, click anywhere on the map to add a waypoint - or search an address in the panel. The convoy recalculates automatically, snapped to real roads, and the panel's distance and drive time update.

Editing the line

  • Drag a numbered marker to move that waypoint; the line re-snaps as you go.
  • Drag the line to add a stop partway - hover it, grab the + handle, pull it where you want. The new waypoint slots into the right position.
  • Reorder waypoints by dragging them in the panel list.
  • Delete a waypoint from its row. To change a stop, delete it and place a new one.
  • Undo (the button, or Ctrl+Z) steps back your last change.

Alternatives

An A to B convoy with exactly two points can show alternatives - different sensible paths drawn as faded lines. Click one to make it your convoy.

Staying on the road network

The map covers Great Britain and Ireland (the routing engine's range), and rough tracks are always avoided - convoys stick to proper roads. If a point won't route, it's usually in water, on private land or too far from a road; drag it closer to tarmac.

A convoy stays internal until you attach it to an event - that's the only way it reaches your members.
