SEO for your club site
Updated 9 July 2026
Your club site is built to be found: published pages are indexable, every site has an automatic sitemap, and each page can carry its own search snippet.
Per-page SEO fields
On a page's detail screen you'll find:
- Meta title - the headline shown in search results and browser tabs. Leave it empty and the page title is used.
- Meta description - the snippet under the headline. One or two sentences on what's on the page beats a list of keywords.
- Social share image - the picture shown when the page is shared on Facebook, WhatsApp and the like.
Where you haven't set these, sensible values are derived from your page's actual content - so nothing looks broken while you're getting set up.
What gets indexed
- Published pages, plus your public events and routes - each has its own shareable, indexable address.
- Drafts are invisible to search engines (they 404).
- Private pages and password-protected sites aren't indexed - the gate keeps crawlers out too.
- The sitemap at
your-club.motorev.club/sitemap.xmlis maintained automatically; there's nothing to submit or update by hand.
Helping your ranking
- Fill in your club description in Club Settings - it feeds your home page's default snippet.
- Give pages descriptive titles ("Track Days" beats "Page 3").
- Publish events and routes - fresh, dated content is exactly what search engines want from a club site.
- On your own domain? See Attach a custom domain - search treats it as your site's canonical home.
