Create an event
Updated 9 July 2026
Everything event-related lives in Events. Each event gets its own planner covering the whole job: details, venue, an on-site layout, a timetable and photos.
Creating one
- Open Events and click Create Event.
- Give it a name and a date - that's enough to start; everything else can come later.
New events start as drafts, invisible to the public, so you can plan in peace and publish when ready.
The planner tabs
- Details - name, date and time, write-up, web address, sharing options. See Event details and write-ups.
- Venue - where it's happening: address search, a map pin, and your saved venue library. See Pick a venue for your event.
- Layout - draw the on-site plan (parking, stands, entrances) over a real map. Unlocks once the event has a venue address. See Plan your event layout.
- Timetable - the running order for the day. See Build a timetable.
- Photos - a public gallery for the event page. See Add event photos.
Your work saves from the Save button in the sidebar - the planner warns you before you leave with unsaved changes.
Active event limits
Your plan includes a number of active events - only events that haven't finished yet count, so past events roll off automatically and your history never needs pruning.
