Create an event

Updated 24 July 2026

Each event gets its own planner covering details, venue, an on-site layout, a timetable and photos.

Creating one

  1. Open Events and click Create Event.
  2. Give it a name and a date - that's all you need. You can optionally link a venue from your library or one of your convoys right here, but both can be added later in the planner.

New events start as drafts, invisible to the public until you publish.

Back on the Events list, each event shows a Health dot - a quick done/total score of how ready it is to share. Hover it to see what's still missing (a venue, a write-up, a photo, and so on); it turns green once everything's in place. It's the same checklist as the planner's Event Health sidebar.

The planner

The map at the top is your on-site layout - click it to open the drawing canvas (it needs a venue location first). See Plan your event layout.

Below the map, cards cover everything on the event page:

The right sidebar holds Details (name and web address), Schedule (date, time and recurring meets), Publishing (share link and password - see Publish and share an event), and an Event Health checklist of anything still missing.

A Save bar appears in the sidebar whenever you have unsaved changes. If you try to leave before saving, you can Save & Leave (save first, then carry on), Leave (discard them), or stay put.

Active event limits

Your plan includes a number of active events. Only events that haven't finished count - past events roll off automatically.
