Event details and write-ups
Name, web address, date and time live in the sidebar (Details and Schedule); the description and extras in the Write-Up and Options cards.
Date and time
Set a start in Schedule, and optionally an end. They drive:
- the live countdown on the public event page, which switches to "Happening now" during the event
- the page's Add to Calendar buttons
- the timetable's soft warning for blocks outside the event window (pre-start blocks like "Gates open" are fine)
- your active-event limit - once the end passes, the event stops counting. A recurring event rolls on to its next date instead, so it keeps counting until you switch recurrence off.
Weather forecast
Once the event has a venue on the map and starts within 7 days, a row of day-by-day weather icons for the venue appears in the planner's top bar, with the event day highlighted - hover one for conditions, temperature and chance of rain (data from Open-Meteo). Further out than a week, a single muted icon shows the date the forecast will appear from.
The public event page shows the full forecast strip under the countdown. Don't want it there? Untick Show Venue Weather in the Options card - the planner keeps its own forecast either way.
The write-up
The Write-Up card is a rich-text editor - headings, bold, lists, links. It appears on the public event page, so write it for attendees: what's on, what to bring, where to park. Exporting to Facebook sends the same write-up as plain text.
Web address
Every event has a slug - the last part of its address, like /events/summer-sprint-2026. It's generated from the name and editable in Details. Change it sparingly once you've shared the link - the old address stops working.
Recurring events
For a repeating meet, tick Recurring Event in Schedule and pick how often it repeats. The options read from your start date - a meet starting on the second Saturday offers "Monthly (Second Saturday)".
When each meet ends, the event rolls to the next date by itself - same page, link, venue, layout, timetable and write-up. Edits in between carry through, and the event page and your site's listings show the rhythm ("Every Sunday", "First Sunday of the month").
